Here are answers to some questions we commonly answer.

We have a website, as do many businesses, and use e-mail constantly. Are we covered for issues arising from the use of these that may affect others?

Probably not. The evolution of "cyberspace" has created a number of potential liabilities which are usually excluded by your General Liability policy. Check with your agent for more on this subject.

We have a Pension or retirement plan in place for our employees. Are we covered under our Directors & Officers Insurance for problems with these plans?

Usually not, and the bond(s) that you may (and should) have on that plan do not provide the kinds of coverage you're concerned about. Check with your agent for more information.

If we store chemicals or fuel, are we covered for liabilities arising from a spill or release of the chemicals or fuels?

Probably not. Environmental damage has been excluded from most policies, with little exception, since the mid-80's. Check with your agent for more information on this subject.
